This is a genuine Cuisinart part and holds the blades (blade holder) up in the center of the bowl.  This part is compatible with:  DLC-7sp DLC-7M DLC-7P DLC-7S might fit the DLC-7E.  If your shredder slicer blades have the stem attached then you will have to replace the blade and the stem.  Most 14 Cup models.
