Return & Refund Policy

We hope you are completely satisfied with your purchase.  If something is wrong with your order please let us know and we will do our best to make it right. 

These are the policies that enable us to be competitive as a Family-Owned Canadian Small Business.

Returns

If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately in most cases we cannot offer a refund. 

To be eligible for a full refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.  Products and components must not show signs of use or misuse. That means the product must not be dirty, cracked, used, dented, or scratched.  Shipping charges are non-refundable. 

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food products & recipe books cannot be returned. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please call, 1-888-692-6724 or email in advance for an authorization number.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Warranty

If your purchase from us stops working due to a manufacturer defect, please let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to quality@hometechcanada.ca and we will work with you to determine your warranty coverage.  Note we are authorized warranty centers for some brands 

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-10 days.  If your product qualified for free freight the original freight will be deducted from your refund.

If your product was sent to you freight free or you paid a flat rate.  The freight that we paid to send it to you (not the flat rate or rate you paid) will be deducted from your refund.   

Cancellations

We can cancel your order and issue a refund (less $10 charge, if a credit card or PayPal was used).  If you paid by debit we can refund the complete purchase price.  If the order has not been shipped. Please note that the window between receiving an order and having it processed for shipping is sometimes very tight, even within a few hours.

Contact us as soon as possible as an email cannot guarantee a way of cancelation. If your order has already been shipped & you return it must be unused in the original manufacturer's box that has not been altered in any way. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless you have to return the product because of our error.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at quality@hometechcanada.ca and we will send you an authorization number.  375 Broads St. Regina SK S4R 1X2

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 375 Broads St. Regina SK S4R 1X2 & call 1-888-692-6724 to get an authorization number.  

If your order was delivered to the correct location we cannot be responsible for what happens to it after that.  We cannot continue to pay for items dropped off at apartments/homes only to find out, you didn't sign for it & it was someone else.  Please add in the notes at checkout to deliver to closest postal pickup location or do not safe drop.  That will ensure that it isn't left with someone else where you live.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item, shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of originally shipping the item will be deducted from your refund (not necessarily the amount you paid for shipping originally but the actual cost to ship the item to you originally

If your product was sent to you freight free or you paid a flat rate.  The freight that we paid to send it to you (not the flat rate or rate you paid) will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Please call us if you need to clarify anything, as there are always exceptions to our policy.   We want you to be happy with your purchase and will do everything possible to help if you occur any problems after that......We have these policies so we are able to stay in business.  There's way too much fraud online.....  It's nice when we can call and verify that you're an actual person and we are too!!
