We find that you should switch to the dough hook if making stiff cookie dough or adding ingredients such as fruit, nuts, and candy. For large batches of cookies (15+ dozen), switch to the Dough Hook before adding the extra flour & ingredients (raisins etc).

🛑 Do NOT use these paddles with the plastic driver! The cookie and cake paddles place a much heavier load on the mixer than wire whips. The plastic driver is not designed to handle this load and will break, potentially damaging your mixer. Always use the Metal Whip Driver with these paddles. Pro tip: once you have the metal driver, put the plastic one away so there's no mix-up!
